Baby needs friends

I am going to have to get out and try to make friends with some mom who has children around Baby's age.

He loves other kids and loves playing with other little ones.

Its so hard around here. The kids at the playground here are super mean. I had one horrible experience and it left me traumatized and I said never again will we go out there while I know kids are there. Jon can take him I just won't. I don't do well with my child being treated bad.

Since we don't go to church then I don't know any of the LDS ladies around here. Not like I knew them when I did go, they are kinda not friendly. I really do not know what to do but I am starting to think preschool is my only option here. Only problem is money is tight. Don't you just hate that? Being broke but oh well that's part of life so until I can afford preschool I will just have to take him to playground around the area and hope there are other little ones there.

Try Craiglist or meetup.com to find a playgroup. You could even post an ad. I found a playgroup for Isaac that way.

I'm sad the kids at the playground were mean to him! That's terrible. And I'm sorry his best friend moved so far away.

Some of the girls from down there and I still go to the library story time at Roy library on Wednesdays at 10:30. They both have boys that are our sons' ages. Do you want to meet us there sometime? I will text you the next time we go.

Now that we are up here in Pleasant View, Connor and I also do a park play date with 8 other moms (sometimes all come, sometimes only a couple show) and they all have kids around that age too, as well as some older and some younger. You are more than welcome to join in. It would be fun if you could come! We are only 10 minutes up the freeway. All the moms and kids we play with are so so nice. We are all fairly new in our ward and we would love another new face.

Church attendance is not a requirement. I hope this invitation does not make you feel pressured AT ALL. That's not what this is about. I just know how hard it is not to have friends. I hope everything is going well with you and your family! Your boy is cute as ever!

Oh ya, the first girl that commented also reminded me... I am also a member of MOMS Club of Weber County. I know they have other chapters in other cities like down by you. Those girls are super nice too. Some are LDS, a lot are not. All that I've been around are very nice. They put out a calendar full of really fun activities for the kids every months. Treehouse museum, trout farm, play dates at people's houses, pumpkin patches, making treats, easy/fun hikes, etc. Very fun.

I can get you information for the MOMS Club in your area if you want. I'll text it to you. That really is worth looking into.
