I had my first doctor appointment

A few weeks ago I had my first doctor appointment. I was really nervous cause I didn't know what they were going to do or what to expect. Well we actually got to hear the baby's heart beat. That was a special moment. I wish I could hear it every day. It would make it more real on a daily bases. I also had to get blood taken out which was horrible, I hate needles, I am hoping by the end of pregnancy I am used to getting poked if not I am in for a rude awakening on the day of labor.

I am no longer experiencing morning sickness, YAY! I cannot tell you how happy I am about this. I thought I was going to die. I was the worst feeling in the world, I do not wish it on anyone. I am able to eat just about anything. The crazy thing is that lately I have been craving ethnic food like Greek and Lebanese food. When I got pregnant I thought I would not want to be eating those foods but I wish I could have them every day. The other day Jon came home from work and I was having a horrible day and he surprised me with flowers and told me to get ready cause he was taking me to my favorite Lebanese Restaurant in Salt Lake City called Mazza. I love that place. He had read my mind cause just that day I was thinking to myself how good that would be. The other food I am really craving is sushi which I have gone to a few time but can only have the vegetable ones but who cares.

Well I have found out that everyone is pregnant right now. Its so funny. I think most of the girls from back home that I grew up going to church with are all pregnant and due with in 3-4 of me. Its crazy. Oh and then one of my husband's mission companion who lives near and we have been hanging out with him and his wife, well she is exactly 4 weeks behind me. Which is good cause everything she is going thru I am going thru and we even have the same doctor.

Ok one more thing I have to update you on since I haven't been keeping this up to date. Jon and I have received callings in our ward. Jon is the new secretary for the elders quorum and I am one of the teachers for the Sunbeam class. They have 3 teachers in there and I wasn't sure why until I went to it last Sunday. It was crazy. I told my mother-in-law that I think they are trying to make me inactive or something. It was too much for me to handle, had I been in that calling before getting pregnant I would NOT be pregnant right now cause I would have really thought about having children. The little girls are so sweet but the boys are just way too much to handle.

My brother Aaron came to visit

So my wonderful brother came to visit at the end of September. Let me tell you I was so happy to hear him say he was coming out to visit. I really was feeling home sick and wanted to see someone from back home. So this was a treat for me. He had a blast while he was out here and so did we. I love seeing my family, I love and miss them so much.

My brother came to visit.

My brother Aaron came to visit me. I was so excited, he came at a very good time cause the stores are still not up and we had tons of time to spend together. Plus, I was feeling home sick and so it made me feel better. We all had so much fun having him around. We took him to The Pie Pizzeria in Salt Lake City. Its was cool cause its got that college vibe.

A lot to catch up on.

Well it has been a while since I have written on here. We have moved from Provo to Northern Utah. Since the store is opening soon we decided we needed to live near by. We have been here for about a month and we really like it here. It's a small town so that's kinda different for all of us. Oh we are all living together which is Jon, me, Annie, Ava, mom and dad. Its crazy living all together and kinda hard but its getting better.
About the store, it will be opening in 3 weeks and we are super excited. The sign is already up and I will have to get a picture of it up on here. Everyone in our new ward is really excited about it and are telling everyone they come across.
About my pregnancy, I think I am starting to get over morning sickness but let me tell you for a month there I was hating life. It was an all day thing and not fun. I couldn't even leave the house cause I was too nervous that at any moment I would be throwing up. For the past week I have had morning sickness a little bit in the morning but once I have breakfast its gone and then a little at night when I take my vitamins. Once its completely over it will be amazing. I have my first real doctor appointment on Monday, I cannot wait. So I have been really thinking that it might be twins but who knows, I'll find out soon enough. But then the other night I had a dream it was a baby boy and I even remembered what it looked like. Well I haven't gained any weigh yet but my belly is starting to show.

Morning sickness

It's happening. I thought that maybe some how I was one of those lucky people that do not get morning sickness while pregnant but I'm not that lucky. My mom last week kept saying that if I didn't have it by then it was not going to happen but it did. The last few days have been horrible, it's not morning sickness its all day sickness. I hate it. I don't understand why women do this to themselves over and over. I told Jon the other night as I was about to throw up that I don't know if I could do this to myself again. Adoption is looking really good. Everyone keeps telling me its worth it, I guess I'll have to see in 7 months.

Happy Birthday Jon!

Today my wonderful husband turn 25, wow he is getting old, jk. He is such an amazing person, I love him so much. I don't know what my life would be without him. I just cannot believe how lucky I am to have found him. Happy Birthday Love! I love you more than you will ever know.

We found our car, YAY!

I cannot believe this. As Jon and I are driving back from church we see a car that looks like mine and as we get closer we saw the Utah sticker in the front and the Chargers sticker in the back. Jon stayed with the car while I drove up to the house to get a phone since neither of us had one. I called the police and when they got there they told us to go look and see if there was anything in it that was not ours. The person who stole our car was really stupid, they left a McDonald's drink in there a woman's bag in there with baby girl toys. In the bag there was a baby bottle and a sippy cup. The police officer also found a finger print on the rear view mirror. I hope they found who did that and they pay for it. Specially if they had a baby with them when they did it. How horrible. The funny thing is that this person just drove the car down the hill and left it there with the windows open. They must have realized that the equipment in the back was taking the whole back and they couldn't have anyone else with them. And since the equipment weighs about 400 pounds each they couldn't do it themselves. The scary thing is that they must have found the sensor key that mom had lost in there cause the car would not start up. So we now have our car parked in the garage so that whoever stole it can't come back for it. If they looked and found the key and left their stuff in the car they must have thought they were going to come back for the car. Oh well, at least we were lucky enough to have found it. Thank goodness we went to church, right? Well that made our day.

Our car was just stolen!

I don't know what else can go wrong but my white mitsubishi outlander just got stolen. Can you believe that? And the worst part was that we had really expensive equipment for the stores, so we are really upset about it. I thought we lived in a nice neighborhood, lesson learned I guess. You are not safe anywhere, not even in Provo (happy valley). Poor Jon is about to lose his mind. This is the second car in 2 years that something has happened to. Well pray that we can find it in one piece and not burned and that the pizza equipment is still in the car. We just paid a load of money for it.

I got to go to Los Angeles/find out I am pregnant!

Last week Jon and I went to California, again. I went for 2 days up to Los Angeles to stay with my friend Jen. It was such a blast. Jon's parents took us all to Korea town for dinner at a BBQ place, the food was amazing. That same night Jen, Jackson and I went to the Griffith Observatory and I got to see the "Hollywood" sign but it was took dark to take pictures.

The following day we decided to go the the Americana at Brant, which is an outside mall. It was amazing, tons of expensive stores. We went to this really nice mexican restaurant called Frida, it was for sure the best mexican restaurant ever. We got their tampiquena with mole sauce, it was just amazing food and service. I highly recommended if you are in the LA area. We also got to see the group En Vogue at an outdoor concert it was pretty good.

That night Jen took me to a new frozen yogurt place that is now the coolest thing in California. I fell in love with the place and once I was down in San Diego I made Jon drive for like an hour to get me to one of these, that's how good it is.

Oh my goodness this is a good story. So my period was about 5 days late and so Jen happened to have a pregnancy test at her house. So last thursday before leaving to go back down to San Diego I did the home pregnancy test and within less than a minute there were 2 lines, I woke Jen up cause I couldn't believe it and made sure I wasn't seeing things. And she said it was positive, AHHHH!! I was in complete shock, we were not expecting this. So I tried calling Jon but he wouldn't answer so I called my mom and told her, she was surprised too. Finally I got ahold of Jon and he would not believe me. I didn't want to believe I was pregnant till I went to a clinic and was told by a health professional. But here is the first pregnancy test I took. Ahhh!! I'm gonna be a mom how crazy.

My parent 25th wedding anniversary!

Wow, so today 25 years ago my parents were married. The silver anniversary! That seems like a really long time to me but they tell me it has gone by way too fast. I love my parents so much. I look up to them. They have the best marriage out of anyone I know, hands down. My mom's love for my dad is unbelievable, she does anything for my dad. I aspire to be a wife like my mom. I feel like I have the best parents in the world. They would do anything for their kids. In 25 years my parents have had 4 amazing kids. Lived in Costa Rica about 10 years while married and then moved the family to the USA. They have raised some amazing people. I'm the only crazy one, hahaha. I won't go on cause it will take forever and most are personal. There are so many things that they have achieved. I'm so proud of them. I love you mami and daddy!
Here are a few quotes about marriage:

"Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success." by Henry Ford
"Treasure the love you receive above all. It will survive long after your good health has vanished." by Og Mandino

"A successful married life requires falling in love many times, but always with the same person." anonymous

"No man or woman really knows what perfect love is until they have been married for quarter of a century." anonymous

PMS

I don't know if this only happens to me or what but once a month I lose my mind. I get all emotional and everything bugs me. And I start to hate life. AHHH! I don't know what is wrong with me. I had my melt down for the month today. And my husband is just so wonderful and patient with me. He is just the most amazing husband. He knows exactly what to say and do. I was a mess but for some reason I just cannot help it and I think that crying helps me get all my frustration out and then I'm good to go for the rest of the month till next time.  So does anything like this happen to anyone else or just me?

More pictures of our new kitten

this is me and Buddy, isn't he sweet?
this is him messing with Booboo

Yay! I just found out how to put notes below pictures. I still don't know about the name Buddy but Jon seems to be hooked on it. I don't know why, it sounds like a dog name, doesn't it? He asked me today what I wanted to name it since I don't like Buddy, I told him Kingston but he doesn't like that, oh well. buddy it will have to be I guess. Oh and he is so lovable and  definitely not as crazy as Harry was when we first got him. We do need to get him de-clawed though cause I am to scared what his claws could do. We think he might be a Savanna cat, if you haven't heard of this, its a cross between an african serval and a domestic cat. He looks really exotic and he has huge paws, bigger than Harry's. If he is a Savanna cat we got lucky though we have been wanting to get one for a while but they cost between $1000 and $6000 so we couldn't afford it. Well I guess we will find out what he is when we take him to the vet. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Trip to Park City

On Saturday aunt Mary took us to Park City to spend all day and sleep there. We got to stay at the Marriot which is a really nice hotel. She also got us an all day pass at the Park City Mountain Resort. They have the alpine ride and coaster and the zip line. We had a blast! We went on the alpine ride first and it was not fun at all but then we went on the zip line and while in line I was getting so nervous since I'm afraid of heights. So I was thinking of not doing it and backing out but I convinced myself that it would be fun and it was, I loved it. I screamed like a little girl, I'm sure I made a lot of people laugh. Then we went on the coaster and that was way fun too. We wanted to do both the zip line and coaster again. So we get on the lift to go up the mountain and on the way there it starts to rain. When it rains they close everything down. By the time we got up the mountain it was full on raining. So they told us we would have to either wait there for a car to come get us or walk down the mountain. We didn't want to wait to we started walking down thinking that it was not that far away. Well we were wrong it was like 2 miles down, and that's a lot for me. So we walked down as it's raining and we got so dirty. I have posted some pictures of the whole day. We all have a blast, we even got a little tan. So I don't know yet how to put words underneath the pictures so I'll explain them in order, the first one I was yelling at Jon, as normal, to straighten up for the picture. The second one we were in line for the zip line ride. The third is Annie and I getting hooked on for the ride. The fourth one is of us walking down the mountain. And the last one is the back of our shoes and legs after the walk down the mountain.

Fun at Seven Peaks

Well I have lived in Utah now for over 2 years and live maybe 3 blocks away from Seven Peaks, which is a water park, and I had never been there. Since we have family in town, we decided we needed to have fun so we went. It was interesting. In the kids pool at one point they took all the kids out cause apparently a kid had pooped in the pool, eww! Can you tell I don't have kids that probably would not gross me out as much if I had kids. Then we decide to go on a ride and we were in line for about 30 minutes for a 30 second ride down, if that. So I said forget it, it is not worth it. The rest of the time i spend in the wave pool which was a blast. My niece loved it.

New addition to the family!

Ok so we found this cute kitten, my mother-in-law was in the garage and the kitten just came right in. My mother-in-law thinking it was the cat that we had seen a few nights ago that a neighbor had lost, she brought it in. BIG mistake. We just all fell in love with this little guy. But he looked to be and indoor cat and an expensive one at that, so we put signs up all over the neighborhood for him thinking that for sure someone would call us right away. And no one has called so we are thinking he is going to be ours. I cannot believe that someone is not missing him. I would be going every where, knocking on everyone's door, but then again I am crazy about my animals. Jon already named him Buddy. And aunt Mary went crazy today and bought him all sort of things. She even got us one of those automatic cat liters that we have been wanting forever. I love aunt Mary, she is way too sweet. I think if she could she would take Buddy with her but I don't think her dog, Charlie, would like that too much.

Birthday Month

So this month was my birthday on the 10th and then on the 16th it was booboo's birthday. Mom took us out to Red Lobster since that's one of my favorite restaurants. Thank you so much mom and dad. For booboo's birthday I always get her a carrot cake or cupcakes. This year I got her a carrot cake and she loves it. I'm crazy I know. Here are some pictures from both.

Photo shoot of Ava

So its official I have the cutest niece in the world. I don't think anyone can beat this.

Review of the last month

Well this month has been CRAZY! A month ago we flew out to the east coast to Virginia for some business. We got done the business part and so we drove to Philadelphia to visit my family, which was a treat. I miss then so much being all the way out here in Utah I only get to see them once or  twice at month if lucky. So I was excited to hang out with my family. Also I got to take Jon to Pat's and Geno's but he was not impressed at all with them. Then we flew back to California to spend July 4th in Lake Arrowhead with the Doulas Family. We had a blast and we even got to bring Simeon with us. I think he had fun. After the July 4th weekend we drove back to Utah and we were in Utah for about a week and a half and then back to California. We had to go pick up some equipment for the stores we are opening. While we were there we got to watch Ava, our beautiful niece, who is a saint. I enjoyed my time with her. But I think I have decided that I need to wait on kids. I enjoy sleeping in way too much. I don't know how Annie does it. Well Annie and Ava flew back home on Sunday and Jon, Tayler, Aunt Mary and me we all drove back and got in today. We got to stay in Hurricane, Utah for the night at a close friend of the family. Wow, their house was beautiful like out of a magazine. Just breath taking. So I am way glad to be back home finally. I hope this time we get to stay for a few weeks. Well the next few days will be fun since we have family in town we have tons of activities to do. I'll put some pictures up of the last month.

New at this

Well I have seen a lot of people are doing this and I think its a great way for our family to know what is going on in our lives. So I'll just try and figure how this works.
